MD传媒入口 International Student Requirements
MD传媒入口 requires all F-1 international students and J-1 exchange students to purchase and maintain adequate health insurance coverage prior to registering for classes.

International students will not be able to register for classes until International Students and Scholars has received verification that you have purchased the mandatory California State University (CSU) International Student Health Insurance group policy offered through United Healthcare.

Waivers might be considered only for certain government-sponsored arrangements, and for students with a parent or spouse who has a U.S. employer-based policy that covers the student. 

Vision and Dental coverage are not included in the health insurance.

How to purchase the health insurance policy at MD传媒入口:

  1. Go to 
  2. Type MD传媒入口 in the school search box
  3. Scroll down to 鈥淢edical 鈥 Low Student Plan Only鈥 and click 鈥淓xplore Policy鈥.
  4. On the bottom right corner, click 鈥淕et Started鈥 and 鈥淐ontinue as a Guest鈥
  5. Choose the Insurance Category you are enrolling under. Make sure to select the correct category. Degree seeking International students should select "F-1 International". Enter your zip code. *If you do not have a U.S. address, please enter MD传媒入口's zip code: 90815 as the required information.
  6. Select 鈥淚 have read all applicable plan documents鈥 and click 鈥淣ext鈥.
  7. Choose the term you're enrolling for (i.e. Annual, Fall, Spring, or Spring /Summer) and click 鈥淣ext鈥
  8. Complete your demographic information. If you do not have a U.S. address yet, please use the University address. (SSN not required, only enter your 9-digit MD传媒入口 ID #)
  9. Make Payment
  10. Allow up to 3 business days for your hold to be removed. You do not need to send proof of purchase to our office.

  • Spring/Summer 2026 Policy Coverage Dates: 01/10/2026- 08/09/2026
  • Annual 2025-2026 Policy Coverage Dates: 08/10/2025 to 08/09/2026
  • Fall 2026 Policy Coverage Dates: 08/10/2026 to 01/09/2027
  • Spring/Summer 2027 Policy Coverage Dates:01/10/2027- 08/09/2027
  • Annual 2026-2027 Policy Coverage Dates: 08/10/2026 to 08/09/2027
