As a new student, we understand you will have several questions before your first semester. While we will answer many of them at your Orientation Workshop, we have compiled the questions we get asked most often to help your transition.
²Ñ²â°ä³§±«³¢µþ is a self-service, online portal that all students can access. You can view your personal information (e.g., phone number, address, emergency contact info), academic record (e.g., test scores & grades), finances (e.g., outstanding balances) and much, much more! Login to MyMD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú via the university's , then click on the MyMD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú icon. If you have any issues accessing Single Sign On o°ù MyMD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú, contact the Technology Help Desk at 562.985.4959 o°ù helpdesk@csulb.edu.
Access your MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú email account by logging in to  using your MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú credentials and password. Then locate and click on the Outlook chiclet.
³§°¿´¡¸é °ä´Ç²Ô´Ú¾±°ù³¾²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô will be emailed within 2-3 business days of making your SOAR reservation.
Didn't receive a SOAR Confirmation? Please check both your personal email AND  accounts. Check your Junk Folder as sometimes it is accidentally re-directed to this folder.
An additional reminder will be sent to your  account the month of your session, as well as approximately three days prior to your scheduled SOAR Workshop date with essential details including parking information and check-in location. 
SOAR is a one-day experience where you will register for your classes in-person at your SOAR workshop. All students will meet with their designated advising center for an introduction to General Education and major requirements, as well as receive assistance with enrolling in classes.

If you miss your SOAR date, please contact us within 24 hours to reschedule.
On-campus SOAR Workshops take place from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Students should plan on being on campus ALL-DAY and ensure travel plans are made with this time frame in mind.
SOAR workshops are for registered student-participants only. Parents/family members/supporters are encouraged participate in , which is offered each on-campus SOAR Workshop date. Visit to learn about this program along with year-round programming and the Beach Family Newsletter, which are designed to encourage family engagement and strengthen partnerships in student success.
Exception to this policy is for students requiring additional assistance. Please complete the to make any necessary arrangements at least five (5) business days prior to your scheduled workshop.
The Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC) provides support to students with disabilities through accommodations and services, including but not limited to sign language interpreters, real-time captioners, assistive technology, and alternative media.
Please complete the if you will require disability-related accommodations during your on-campus SOAR workshop. Submit this online form at least five (5) business days prior to your scheduled on-campus workshop. Once you have submitted this online form, BMAC will reach out to discuss the confidential registration process.
Please note guests are not allowed to attend SOAR with their student unless they have been approved by BMAC.

No, you do not need to purchase a parking permit. Parking on-campus during your SOAR Workshop is included as part of your SOAR Fee – be sure to park in the designated area inside the Pyramid Parking structure to avoid a parking citation and penalty.
Connect with your Academic Advising Center
While at SOAR, academic advisors provide an introduction to your General Education and major requirements, as well as assist you with enrolling in classes.
