Graduate Student Success Center

Whether you earned your bachelor’s degree at MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú or elsewhere, the COE Graduate Student Success Center guides prospective and matriculated students from diverse backgrounds, throughout their MS collegiate career. The GSSC promotes collaborative advising and campus partnerships to ensure our students’ success in their academic goals.

The COE Graduate Student Success Center provides support to/for:

  • Prospective and matriculated COE graduate students; general advising for all MS programs
  • Matriculated MSCS students on degree progress (advancement to candidacy, etc.)
  • Understanding requirements for planning and filing for graduation
  • Comprehensive Exam vs Thesis
  • One-on-one and group advising sessions, via BeachConnect
  • Identify resources for degree to professional planning, as well as other campus resources

For in-depth review and advising concerning degree plan, please reach out to our GSSC team for assistance in creating a plan tailored to you and your graduation goals. We also offer drop-in advising via Zoom, and are available for quick questions, Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. to noon. GSSC advising appointments can also be made through BeachConnect via MyMD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú. Please bring all questions here so we can assess your next steps and assist in meeting all of your collegiate and professional goals!

New student orientations are held before the end of summer in August. Prospective graduate students must apply to the university and the individual department for consideration. Are you an international student? Visit the Center for International Education for additional information.
