Community Liaisons
Every Village has a traditional leadership structure that helps maintain social connection, encourage growth, and preserve cultural identity. Local faith‑based organizations play an essential role in the MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Village, and we invite community members to partner with us in supporting future college students.
As a Community Liaison, you will help connect your local church with MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú resources, programs, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead outreach/recruitment efforts within your local church community.
- Support educational workshops such as:
- Financial Aid & FAFSA Assistance
- Student Loan Information Sessions
- Housing Opportunity Overviews
- Financial Workshops
- Student Organization Advice to youth interested in MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú
- Scholarship Workshops
- Promote MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú programs and events and MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú promotes yours.
- Help increase enrollment of students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds.
The Role of a MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Village Community Liaison
- Become a certified MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Liaison through official training sessions.
- Gain insight into the college admissions process and learn about MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú-specific programs.
- Receive resources to host events, workshops, and celebrations at your church.
- Collaborate with MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Outreach staff.
- Serve as a bridge between prospective students and MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú, helping them navigate the path to higher education.
