Applications and Enrollment
There is a $25 non-refundable fee to apply to the Child and Family Center. Completing an application does not guarantee your enrollment and places you on the waitlist, if enrollment is not immediately available.
Applications are completed online, though paper copies are available for pick-up at the Child and Family Center (please schedule ahead). Applications returned in person will be time and date stamped if and when returned in person.
The Child and Family Center has six classrooms: two infant classes, two toddler classes, and two pre-school classes.
Enrollment Priorities: MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú students receive priority admission for half of the available infant, toddler, and preschool spots, followed by Staff/Faculty, and finally members of the Long Beach (or nearby community). For the remaining available spots, Students/Staff/Faculty receive equal priority, with Long Beach (or nearby) community members receiving secondary priority.
Wait List: Upon application, you will be placed on a waitlist, assuming there are no immediate enrollment spots available. Admission will be granted based on seniority on the waitlist, coupled with the enrollment priorities as listed above.
Please note, the application and enrollment process is different than how the Child and Family Center operated in the past. There is no longer an annual application period nor an annual lottery. Applications will now be accepted year-round and a waiting list maintained for future enrollment.
