Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is an IRS program that provides free income tax return preparation for low and moderate-income individuals (including our own students), the handicapped, elderly, veterans and limited English proficient individuals. It provides our students with valuable experience that can help in employment opportunities in accounting and tax firms. VITA services are offered M-TH 10 AM to 8 PM, F 9 AM to 3 PM, and some Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM. This article highlights our Saturday tax days in the 2026 tax season.
