"I was actively involved in the Veterans Club and often enjoyed studying at The Nugget, which became one of my favorite spots on campus. I'm incredibly grateful to have utilized Chapter 31 benefits to support both my bachelor's degree and now my pursuit of a Master’s in Forensic Psychology.".

With the unconditional support of my success teams, including BMAC/LIFE Project, the professors who’ve become my mentors, and my online friends-family, I’m now proud to identify as an AuDHD woman and build my career as a disability activist.

I chose MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú because of its strong business program, welcoming community, and the opportunities to gain real-world experience.

Come of my favorite moments have been catching sunsets on the beach, feeding the fish at the Japanese Garden, badminton at the gym and having my favorite meal at the dining hall.

MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú was one of the few schools where I could pursue a degree in the arts and still get that full college experience. What also helped my decision was how many clubs and organizations I knew I could participate in while attending here.

I received the president’s scholarship here and decided that the education I would get here is just as good as anywhere else, and I would be saving my family and I a lot of money. I couldn’t be happier here at MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú and I am glad I chose to come here. 

I decided to come to MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú for the various opportunities in the marine biology field. Between all the labs and the CSU Catalina Semester opportunity, it was an easy decision.

As I was growing up, I always dreamed of playing softball at a division 1 level. I used to want to play out of state and far from home. As I got older, I realized that living my dream wouldn’t be as special if my family couldn’t be in the stands cheering me every step of the way. My grandmother immigrated to this country and supported my mother by working in janitorial services at MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú. Now, I’m proud to say her grandson will graduate from the same university she once swept the floors of.

I never envisioned myself participating in student organizations, let alone becoming an officer of one, but because of the support I received I felt confident enough to step into the role of President of Fostering Futures.

The most rewarding part of this journey was meeting all of my amazing team members and friends, who really demonstrated the importance of having connection and support on campus!

My time at The Beach has been a whirlwind. For the first two years, I majored in biology before realizing that political science was my true interest.
