A veteran Capitol Hill advisor, Deborah Rowe brings over 14 years of legislative experience to her role as Manager, Government Relations at the Port of Long Beach. Most recently, she previously served as Director, Public Policy at the Alpine Group, a bipartisan multi-client firm in Washington D.C. She joined the firm in 2023 and developed and executed legislative strategies that have led to significant appropriations achievements for her clients. Deborah's congressional career spanned over a decade as she served in the leadership offices of Congressman Steny H. Hoyer, the longtime Democratic Leader. Her tenure on the Hill included nearly 10 years working in multiple senior roles in House leadership, including as Senior Floor Advisor for the Majority Leader. In this role, she provided crucial advice on parliamentary procedures and legislative strategy, led legislative communication efforts, built coalitions, managed key relationships, and oversaw day-to-day operations on the House Floor. In her previous roles, Deborah also facilitated Member services and whipping projects, while organizing Member events and communication. Prior to her time in Washington, Deborah worked in public affairs at the Disneyland Resort. Deborah's career in public service began while in college, where she co-founded the student Lobby Corps and served as an executive in student government. A MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú political science graduate (magna cum laude), Deborah returned to Long Beach after 12 years in Washington D.C. and now lives in Seal Beach with her husband, Michael, and their corgi, Popcorn.
