Joshua Peralta is a writer and teacher based in Oakland, CA. His first book is 3rd & Orange, a novella composed of poetry and prose, whose inspiration springs from the decade he spent in Long Beach, attending LBCC and MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú and trying to figure out an acceptable professional path. Over the years, he has published in various genres, online and in print, been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, as well as presented original scholarship at the Long Beach Historical Society, the University of Warwick, England, and elsewhere. Peralta's next project is a new biographical portrait of the young John Fante (1909-83). The roots of this project trace back to a 2006 senior seminar on John Fante taught by Fante's biographer, MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Professor Stephen Cooper.
