Prohibited Items
- No alcohol
- Weapons of any kind are prohibited
- No smoking or vaping
- California State University, Long Beach (MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú) is a 100% smoke, vapor, and tobacco-free campus. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor and outdoor spaces, including parking lots, residential areas, and athletic venues.
- No tripods or large photographic equipment
- No Strollers/wagons on the field
- No banners, posters, flags that will block guests' views.
- No umbrellas
- No balloons or confetti
Clear Bag Policy
The Clear Bag Policy is applicable to all graduates and guests entering venues through a pass gate unless they are credentialed media or staff. If you are arriving via ride share, please note the Clear Bag Policy before departing to the venue.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Children 2 years old and under do NOT need a ticket; however, they will be required to sit on the lap of a guest.
Guests and participants carrying bags that do not comply with the Clear Bag Policy will be asked to return their bags to their vehicle and transfer their belongings to an approved clear plastic bag before entering the venue.
If you arrive by rideshare, please check your bag/s at the security bag check at the beginning of the security line.
MD´«Ã½Èë¿Ú will not accept responsibility for storing or checking unpermitted items at this time.
The one-gallon clear plastic storage bag (i.e. Ziploc bag) can be found at any local grocery store. The logo'd 12.75" x 6.5" x 12.75" clear bag can be purchased through the University Bookstore in store, , and at their tents during Commencement.
Only clear bags are permitted with either the approximate 12.75"x6.5"x12.75" clear tote bag or the one-gallon clear plastic storage bag.
Diaper bags must conform with the clear bag policy above: clear and 12.75" x 6.5" x 12.75" dimensions.
Bags carrying items that are medical in nature, such as prescription medication, breast pumps and other special medical equipment, will be permitted on a case by case basis after being searched upon entry.
An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection by the respective gate security.
You can carry items in your pockets or jacket (keys, makeup, feminine products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards, etc.) if you choose not to put them in a clear bag.
Guests and graduates will be able to bring these items into the ceremony venues by tossing them over a shoulder or arm. Items that are folded up will have to be opened up in order to gain entry into the ceremony venue. These items may also be packed into a clear bag.
Any prohibited item at the gate will be highly visible and more quickly identified. Prohibited bags will be turned away. Clear bags are easily and quickly searched and greatly reduce faulty bag searches. It also supports the Department of Homeland Security's "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign.
This will enable us to move guests and participants through our gates much faster. Staff will be more efficient and effective in checking bags that are brought into ceremony venues. There will be less time spent standing in lines at the gates, allowing guests and graduates more time to get to their seats prior to the event.
Guest Ticket Terms & Conditions
Children: Children ages 2 and under do not require a ticket but must sit on the lap of a ticketed guest.
No re-entry: Each ticket is valid for one-time entry only. Re-entry is not permitted once your ticket has been scanned. Duplicate tickets will be denied entry.
Bag Policy: Clear bags (plastic or vinyl) with no obscured interior pockets are permitted and must not exceed 12.75" x 6.5" x 12.75". All other bags including purses and strollers/wagons must be left in your vehicle.
